Lion Brand® Fishermen’s Wool® GAUGE: 13 sts + 18 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern, with 2 strands of yarn held tog, before felting. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. STITCH EXPLANATION: M1 (make 1) An increase worked by lifting horizontal thread lying between needles and placing it onto left needle. Knit this new stitch through the back loop – 1 st increased.STRIPE PATTERN *Work 2 rows with 2 strands of A held tog, 2 rows with 2 strands of B held tog, 2 rows with 2 strands of C held tog; rep from * for Stripe Pattern. Varias personas me dijeron que este blog es ecléctico, que carece de sentido, que es inabarcable y cosas por el estilo. Bueno, eso está hecho pseudo a propósito. Desde que era pequeña hacía algo parecido a lo que hago con este blog pero en cuadernos. Recortaba revistas y pegaba lo que me interesaba, copiaba canciones, cuentos, escribía cosas de mi vida, lo que pensaba en ese momento, lo que pensaba que iba a pasar y muchas cosas así sin un orden o sentido aparente. También diversas personas me dejaban mensajitos, muchas ahora son apenas un recuerdito pequeño del tamaño del mensaje, pero están.

Entonces, ¿cómo empezó todo esto? ¿por qué tengo cuadernitos tirados por ahí con cosas que me gustaban? Esto tiene que ver con varias cosas, la primera fue que me di cuenta que era finita, que todo el universo que tenia en la cabeza iba a desaparecer conmigo y eso me dio pavor. Me heló la sangre que todo desapareciera en un segundo como si nunca hubiera estado, más que nada porque yo realmente pensaba (y pienso) que tengo una responsabilidad para con las cosas de mi imaginación y que debo hacer todo lo posible de que no mueran conmigo. ¿Qué mejor forma que implantarlas en las cabezas de otras personas contando historias o dejando cuadernos (“libros”) para salvar un poquito de ese universo?

La segunda es que ya de por sí estaba perdiendo cosas, aún antes de morirme, porque mi memoria es pésima. Me cuesta recordar lo que comí hace dos días, ni hablar de lo que hice hace cuatro fines de semana o lo que hice hace tres cuatrimestres. Entonces el cuaderno/blog también cumplía/cumple la función de bitácora personal, algo así como un diario (no) íntimo donde voy anotando lo que pasa.

La tercera, y “última”, es que siempre me gustaron las cosas onda cápsula del tiempo donde las generaciones futuras podían tener un vistazo de lo que fueron las generaciones pasadas. De esta forma, el cuaderno/blog cumple la función de conectarme con mi “yo” pasado, un yo que ya no está pero alguna vez estuvo y dejó su huellita, ayudando al formar al yo actual que leerá estas líneas en un futuro (hello, sweety!).

Como habrán notado, el blog no es nada más que la versión quichicienta de ese cuaderno que empecé hace mucho, al que le siguieron muchos más antes de esto. El blog es para mí en primer plano y en un segundo plano es para el que le interese, que comparta ideas y gustos conmigo y quiera dejar algún mensajito para mi yo futuro.

En eso estaba pensando, quizás un poco tarde para aclarar las cosas pero los sabios dicen que cuatro años no son nada. Por lo menos a mí se me pasaron volando, lo poco que queda de ese yo lejano son los mensajes en este blog, algunas chucherías que tengo en mi pieza y ese increíble gusto musical que redescubrí al encontrar mi viejo mp3.

Anyway… me voy a seguir pensando en nada~
