Felted Tribal Bag

Lion Brand® Fishermen’s Wool® GAUGE: 13 sts + 18 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern, with 2 strands of yarn held tog, before felting. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. STITCH EXPLANATION: M1 (make 1) An increase worked by lifting horizontal thread lying between needles and placing it onto left needle. Knit this new stitch through the back loop – 1 st increased.STRIPE PATTERN *Work 2 rows with 2 strands of A held tog, 2 rows with 2 strands of B held tog, 2 rows with 2 strands of C held tog; rep from * for Stripe Pattern. NOTES: 1. Circular needle is used to accommodate large number of sts. Work back and forth on circular needle as if working on straight needles. 2. Bag is worked with 2 strands of yarn held together. Wind each skein of yarn into 2 separate balls before beginning. 3. Carry colors not in use up side of piece. 4. With yarn in front (wyif) refers to the side of the work facing you as you work the row; with yarn in back (wyib) refers to the side of the work that is away from you as you work the row. To move yarn from front to back or back to front, bring yarn between needles. Take care not to wrap yarn over a needle, this could create an additional st. 5. STRAP Gusset Note: The gusset is the portion of the Strap that will be sewn between the front and back Panels. With 2 strands of A held tog, cast on 14 sts. Work in Garter st (k every row) and Stripe Pattern until piece measures 20 in. (51 cm) from beg. Mark each end of last row for gusset.Strap Continue in Stripe Pattern as established. Decrease Row: K2tog, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog – 12 sts at the end of this row. Work in Garter st and Stripe Pattern for 17 rows. Rep Decrease Row – 10 sts rem. Rep last 18 rows – 8 sts rem. Continue in Garter st and Stripe Pattern until piece measures 48 in. (122 cm) from beg. Increase Row: K1, M1, knit to last st, M1, k1 – 10 sts at the end of this row. Work in Garter st and Stripe Pattern for 17 rows. Rep Increase Row – 12 sts at the end of this row. Rep last 18 rows – 14 sts. Mark each end of last row for gusset. Gusset Work in Garter st and Stripe Pattern until piece measures 20 in. (51 cm) from marker, end after working ‘C’ portion of Stripe pattern. Bind off. Top Edging With RS facing and 2 strands of B held tog, pick up and k60 sts across top of one Panel. Knit 1 row. Bind off as if to knit. Rep on 2nd Panel. Sew curved outer edge of one Panel to one long edge of Gusset, with Panel between markers. Sew 2nd Panel to opposite long edge of Gusset. Weave in ends. Felting Wash by machine on a hot wash/cold rinse cycle with detergent and several pieces of clothing to agitate. Pull into shape, and allow to dry throughly. Sew button to inside of Bag, opposite buttonhole.

Ajedrez

He aquí un ajedrez hecho enteramente por mí!

El tablero -caja es de cartón de 1mm de espesor, pintado con acrílicos, pintura para tela y marcador permanente. Las fichas son de porcelana fría (es blanca, como se ve en las primeras imágenes) que después pinté con acrílicos y le di un efecto con pintura para tela.

Luego se ven en orden un torre, un peón, un caballo, un alfil, la reina, el rey y todos juntos para comparar el tamaño. Me olvidé de tomar medidas (es un regalo para mi VIP) pero creo que la más alta tenía 4cm de alto.

Posteriormente se ven las piezas del otro color, y la caja con el tablero y la cuadrilla de cartón para que las piezas no se muevan mucho y no se puedan golpear entre sí :3

El cordón marrón también lo hice yo, es hilo encerado marrón tejido en macramé.

Fotos paso a paso de la mantita que le tejí en crochet a mi sobrinito

La mantita empezó como un conjunto de cuadraditos, el diseño lo agarré de una revista que tenía en casa, más o menos son de 10cmx10cm y están tejidos de forma circular.

Con una vuelta de color para que quede más prolijo y que tenga forma más “cuadradezca”:

Acá me dí cuenta de que  había hecho cuadrados de más o me faltaban cuadrados. Obviamente, me faltaban cuadrados! :

Muchos acercamientos al tejido, para mostrar detalles y terminaciones:

Eso es todo! la colcha ya está con su dueño, si bien un poco inútil por ahora por el calor que hace, con el tamaño que tiene le durará hasta que se vaya a vivir solo ^^

 La colcha terminada tiene aproximadamente 80cm x 120cm y acabó con mis ganas de tejer por los próximos 5 meses XD

Círculos que frecuento

Un trabajo en proceso que tengo hace un tiempo:

Los círculos representan los círculos sociales en los que me muevo, que se superpongan significa que hay gente que pertenece a ambos grupos. También había pensado que los colores indicaran cuales son más viejos (el más viejo es el rosa y el más nuevo el celeste) y que el tamaño de los círculos indicara la cantidad de gente. Esas dos últimas cosas no están exactamente bien y es algo que quiero corregir.

Si, ya sé que nunca expliqué qué es Uni-kylä, un/a Luminaria, un Citlalli-kyla y que lo único que saben de Tseen Ke es su cara y que se pronuncia (o por lo menos yo lo pronuncio) “Ze~n Ke” (el e~ es una e larga, no le puse ee para que no me lo pronuncien como el inglés green ).

En fin, si quieren saber de dónde saqué el nombre, googleenlo, con un poco de conocimiento de inglés (o la viveza de encontrar un traductor) se enteran en tres click y un enter, apróximadamente.

Quizás un ctrl+T si tienen Firefox/Chrome.
